Who we are

Seva (say-vuh) is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service. In 2021, SevaRVA opened as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to alleviating hunger in the Richmond and Ashland community..

What we do

Serve homemade meals to promote well-being and belonging among our beneficiaries, such as local families, schools, and nonprofit organizations whose meals are made by dedicated volunteers at the Slash Christian Church kitchen in Ashland.

Why we do it

When it comes to food, we should all be equal—everyone deserves food that not only nourishes their body, but feeds their soul.
