Who we are

Seva (say-vuh) is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service. In 2021, SevaRVA opened as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to alleviating hunger in the Richmond community..

What we do

Serve nutritionally-balanced meals, primarily sourced from local farmers and growers, to promote health and well-being among our beneficiaries— by collaborating with local gardens, shelters, nonprofit organizations, and our dedicated volunteers at the Hatch kitchen in Richmond.

Why we do it

When it comes to food, we should all be equal—everyone deserves food that not only nourishes their body, but feeds their soul.
